Gemini Digital Technologies Launches ‘The Engineering Hub’ at Oracle World

Gemini Digital Technologies (GEMDT) will be officially launching its new ‘Engineering Hub’ solution at Oracle World (16th – 17th January 2019), a technological innovation which is set to transform maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) in the manufacturing, aviation and automotive industries. Harnessing the potential of industrial grade photogrammetry and integrating with Oracle Enterprise systems, The Engineering Hub delivers a highly accurate and efficient alternative to traditional metrology methods.

Founded and led by a senior leadership team with over 100 years’ experience in IT and metrology, Oracle Gold Partner, GEMDT, is focused on bringing to market solutions which provide manufacturers with a true Digital Twin of precision parts. Utilising photogrammetry in place of standard CMM and laser scanning techniques, The Engineering Hub enables clients to monitor the full lifecycle of a product from design to manufacture and implementation – removing the need for labour intensive manual inspections while delivering accurate and rich data.

Tested to AS13003, the photogrammetry deployed as part of The Engineering Hub has been shown to achieve increased efficiencies over CMM and laser scanning while maintaining the same levels of accuracy.

In addition to precision monitoring existing components, The Engineering Hub can also be used with legacy products where no 3D models exist, as photogrammetry is used to accurately capture the Digital Twin.

Recently appointed to bring The Engineering Hub to market and drive forward the company’s disruptive growth plans, GEMDT Managing Director, Paul Dean, comments: “We have a vision to enable ‘Data Rich but Information Poor’ businesses to take legacy and new products to market faster, and to improve service and support. Traditional measuring methods such as CMM and laser scanning simply aren’t capable of providing a true Digital Twin, but by utilising photogrammetry as part of our Oracle offering, we’ve not just giving manufacturers an unprecedented level of insight into product performance – we’re equipping them with a solution that facilitates action.”
