GemDT are pleased to announce a business relationship with A3L working in partnership with A3L will add Projection Inspection, Workflow and Quality to the

GemDT customer portfolio.

Over the last 6 months in partnership with one of the UK’s premier Open Source developers, we have today launched the GemDT Auto Scan Legacy Drawing archiving solution. The software is already being used by OpusVL clients, and we have tailored it for the engineering and construction environments.

GemDT staff members Rhona Buckingham has worked on the large aerospace scanning program and Florian Perlesha has worked in Construction for a number of years, they have both been working on behalf of GemDT sharing their knowledge with OpusVL to tailor the software to these markets.

The GemDT Autoscan service is designed to speed up the scanning process, capture more data through automation and reduce cost for the customer.
GemDT are an approved Hewlett Packard Reseller.

GemDT and REACH Compliance

GemDThave launched a new solution with Oracle to automate the REACh Compliance legislation.

What is REACH?

REACH is a European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals. It came into force on 1st June 2007 and replaced a number of European Directives and Regulations with a single system.


REACH has several aims:

  • To provide a high level of protection of human health and the environment from the use of chemicals.
  • To make the people who place chemicals on the market (manufacturers and importers responsible for understanding and managing the risks associated with their use.)
  • To allow the free movement of substances on the EU market.
  • To enhance innovation in and the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry.
  • To promote the use of alternative methods for the assessment of the hazardous properties of substances e.g. quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR) and read across.
